Ketambe Adventure - Mesikhat umbrellas were originally made from local materials and are available in abundance in Southeast Aceh. Besides being available in abundance, the Alas people also have certain symbolic meanings and are believed to have the power to ward off evil. The handle of the umbrella is made of Beno wood (a type of rattan). Beno wood is known to be very strong, does not expand (straight), the surface is smooth and very light so it is comfortable when carried. This wood is associated with the myth of the Overnight Dragon, where a giant dragon whose length is up to 7 hills sings and is exposed to sunlight so that it turns into an elongated mound of fertile winding land and many Beno trees are overgrown. Beno wood reflects maturity and maturity, so that he is able to take care of himself, his family and the people he leads so as not to be misguided in living a social life.

Umbrellas made of green bamboo (generally called Apus bamboo, Java). This type of bamboo is very tough, malleable, lightweight, resistant to water, and very light. The eight fingers of the umbrella reflect the symbol of the eight cardinal directions, where humans must have broad insight and understand the greatness of God's creation.
